MARTIGNY-LES-BAINS, Former renowned spa town
The history of "Versailles Thermal" began in 1849 with the first official analysis of the water. The arrival of the train in 1881 enabled the resort to develop and enjoy its heyday. The two world wars brought this glorious period to an end.
Today, the park and the pavilion are restored and maintained by volunteers. The 6-hectare park features a stream, waterfall, pond, gazebo, lookout point, rustic bridges, and a variety of tree species.
