CLAUDON

The Hutte Arboretum, covering an area of 3 hectares, features remarkable trees, most of which were planted when it was created in the19th century by Alfred Irroy, the local ironmaster.

A 700-meter trail allows visitors to walk among tree species identified by information panels. Stone sculptures by the Pierre-Avenir Association line the trail.

The arboretum is managed by the Droiteval Ourche Patrimoine association.

The chestnut tree garden

MONTHUREUX-SUR-SAÔNE

Supported by the ADPL (association for the discovery of local heritage) in partnership with the town hall and the Region, the Jardin des Marronniers was inaugurated in the summer of 2020. It consists of 50 dwarf chestnut trees from all over the world: South America, China, India, etc. This place invites visitors to relax thanks to its wooden furniture made by municipal workers, while also offering an educational dimension: each plant is identified by an explanatory panel.

Access via Rue de la Libération, after the bridge towards Regnévelle (behind the community center).
