GODONCOURT

Built in the^13th century, the church of Godoncourt, originally Romanesque, subsequently saw the Gothic style become dominant.

In^{the 16th century}, it underwent numerous changes, notably with the addition of fabulous painted frescoes depicting religious scenes such as the Nativity. The^17th century saw an enrichment of the furnishings with some very beautiful altars.

Godoncourt is also known for its Orthodox monastery, where the nuns still make pasta, aniseed bread, and candles.
