Since 1st January 2017, the Community of communes "Les Marches de Lorraine", "du Pays de la Saône Vosgienne", and "du Pays de Saône et Madon" (minus the commune of Thuillières) and the commune of Grandrupt-de-Paris (from the community of communes "Val-de-Vôge") have merged to give birth to the Community of communes "Les Vosges Côté Sud Ouest", one of the 11 new intercommunalities of the department.

This new intercommunality, which comprises 60 municipalities, covers almost 700 km², and has about 12,500 inhabitants.
