RELANGES
The Romanesque church, shaped like a cross, appears as the most harmonious Romanesque ensemble in the region. It bears the marks of three different architectural eras: 11th, 12th and 16th century.
The construction in sandstone variegated, stone of the country, dates back to the twelfth century (choir and transept). At the end of the 15th century, a fire destroyed the church which was refurbished in the 16th century. The top floor of the bell tower and the nave were completely rebuilt.
The various modifications, however, did not alter the beauty and interest of Relanges, who was the only Clunisian priory of the Vosges.
The church remains one of the most beautiful buildings in Lorraine in the 12th century.
