The museum, located on the 1st floor of the former Castle Hall, testifies to the historical links between Darney and Czechoslovakia, through the exhibition of works of art and official documents. In particular, it preserves the declaration of the independence of the Czechoslovak state, which was proclaimed on 30 June 1918 in Darney by President Raymond Poincaré in the presence of Edouard Benès, Secretary General of the Czechoslovak National Council. Thomas Mazaryk will be the first president. At the entrance of Darney coming from Monthureux, the Franco-Czechoslovak monument stands proudly up to the sky.
