The Convent of the Cordeliers is today divided into several parts: The Church of Our Lady of the Snows and the eastern part of the conventual building are owned by the association Saône Lorraine since 2006, the other part has been converted into a Restaurant.

Owned since 2006 by the association Saône Lorraine, the church and the eastern third of the former Franciscan convent of Thons date back to the end of the fifteenth century.

From 1453, the date of the foundation, to 1791, the date of the departure of the Brothers, the building underwent extensions in the sixteenth century, reconstructions in the seventeenth century and embellishments. But the initial core, privatized since the Revolution, remains intact: the church classified since 1945 is a masterpiece of the Gothic finishing and its unity strikes the visitor.

It is a question, with the convent itself, of the monastic ensemble claiming to be Saint-François, the best preserved of all the east of France.

The Convent of the Cordeliers will benefit from the recipes of the Loto du Patrimoine, it is indeed one of the 18 emblematic sites selected at the national level (including 5 Vosges sites).
